Hi, everyone! I figured I'd make an FAQ for those who haven't been following this on Patreon for the past year.

What is Transformation Wonderland?

Transformation Wonderland is an adult RPG/Visual novel mix that focuses on transformation fetish. Right now there's only a demo, which has 10 possible animated transformations! The finished game will have more than 80. This is my first time making a game, and the demo consists of rough assets and unfinished animations, but I hope you get the idea of what it’s aiming to become. 

Where can I follow for updates and new builds?

Right now, the game’s out in Early Access on Patreon. There, the game gets weekly updates on how progress is doing, plus sneak peeks. Once a month, I upload a new build there. In addition, “Transformation Wonderland” started as a comic! That comic’s still running,and Patrons vote on how the comic goes. The storyline from the comics gets Priority when itcomestocodingthegame, but the game will have many, many more transformation options. The comic's been running since January 2024 and will probably go on until June 2026.

When is the full game releasing? 

I’m a solo dev, meaning I make all the art, do the writing and coding for the game. Hence why there’s no music or sound effects in the demo. I expect the “early access” version to be complete sometime in 2027. This version will be a finished game, but with unfinished animations, so akin to what you see in the demo. The version with finished animations, I currently expect to finish in 2031-2032. It depends on how much support the game gets over time and if I can afford to hire people to help me out. Right now, what I make on Patreon’s just enough to live off of.

How long will the full game be?

Currently, I'm expecting a single playthrough start-to-finish to take about 30 minutes. However, in order to see every transformation in the game, I'd say, you'll get 4-6 hours of playtime. And I have plans for additional content in the future to expand that playtime - just focusing on the main game for now.

I’m interested in helping – what do you need? 

Currently? Your support, spreading the word and possibly, if you’re willing, donations. My Patreon pays about 500 EUR a month, the rest I need to survive I get through commissions. Becauseofthemany,manyanimations, this game would be very expensive to outsource for an indie game. For now, I’m just going to chip away at it by myself to keep costs low. Sound designers and composers comfortable with NSFW and fetish content are welcome to apply, I’d love to release the Early Access chapters to Patreon with SFX and music, but that’s July and beyond. For now, just play and enjoy the game!

For the nosy folks - do you mind sharing how high you expect the budget for a game like this to be?

Maybe in a future dev log, if folks express enough interest, I'll explain the cost for each "piece of the puzzle" - for now I'm fine just going about it on my own.
